Installation

This procedure can be done with the upper hull intact. It is slightly easier to access the oil filter housing with the upper hull off.

Remove the engine access panel located on the left side of the hull. Remove the dipstick access panel located on the right side of the hull.

Insert the siphon tube into the oil dip stick tube until it bottoms out. Start siphoning oil.

Locate the oil filter and remove the (3) E8 screws. Remove the oil filter and oil filter cap O-ring. It is a good idea to siphon out the oil filter housing.

Install the new oil filter cap O-ring onto the cap. Apply a small amount of oil onto the O- ring.

Install the new oil filter into the housing. Install the oil filter cap. Apply Loctite 243 (blue) on the threads on the screws. Torque to 80 in-lbs.

You will only be able to siphon 2.0 liters of oil out of your spark. Leaving about a liter left in the engine. Pour in 1.5 liters of oil. Start the machine and let idle for 15-20 seconds. Check your oil dip stick and add accordingly. Do not over fill.
