9000/1100T Turbo Header Blanket

  • Remove BOTH top and bottom heat shields from the header and turbo
  • From the left side of the engine (drivers side) feed the header blanket underneath the factory header pipe. It will be tight between the left chassis spar and the blanket (1100T). Do not pull with excess force or the blanket seams may rip. Do not try to stretch it around the header/turbo flange.
  • Once it is completely around the header, snap it closed.
  • For the turbo blanket, install the left hand spring onto the back capstan (the back capstan is the lone one on the side of the blanket) leave the long part of the spring free for now.
  • Install the turbo blanket by feeding the side of the blanket with one capstan (and spring) around the back side of the turbo. Make sure the spring and blanket go under the waste gate arm.
  • Using a needle nose pliers, grab the free end of the spring referenced in the previous instruction and pull it under the header/turbo flange and connect it to the front left hand capstan.
  • Install the final spring on the front right capstan and stretch it alongside the turbo outlet flange to the top rear bolt on the downpipe flange. This spring is optional.
