Installation

Make sure your vehicle is cold. Remove the two 14mm bolts with springs that seal the header to the muffler.

With the 7/8” open end wrench, remove the 02 sensor. Be sure not to damage the tip of the sensor.

Remove the (4) 10mm bolts holding the heat shield down.

Remove the (9) M6 socket head cap bolts holding the header on. You can remove the header now.

Remove the old gasket between the header and engine. Make sure to clean all the old gasket off. You can use scotch brite and break cleaner.

Once clean, add anti-seize to your (9) mounting bolts. Hold the gasket against the engine block and thread in bolts #6 and #9, leaving them a 1/4" out of the block. This will allow the EVP header to rest on them.

Install the EVP header and the rest of your mounting bolts along with the donut gasket between the header and muffler. Torque each bolt within sequence shown below. First torque all (9) mounting bolts to 60 in-lbs (7Nm). Second torque all (9) mounting bolts to 22 ft-lbs (30Nm).

Torque the header pipe to muffler down to 18 ft-lbs. It helps to put anti-seize on these on bolt threads and end of spring.
